Event Supervisors, Assistants and Volunteers

Science Olympiad classifies all volunteer opportunities into three groups:

  • Event Supervisors - take the lead on an event. They write, create, gather materials and supplies and organize the event. They use the rules to help guide their event. They run the event on the competition day.
  • Event Assistants - take guidance from the Event Supervisor and help to coordinate the event in advance if asked, and also will help run the event during the competition day.
  • Headquarters Volunteers - help out in headquarters as Score Counselors or Registration Assistants, helping direct visitors, or at events such as the Opening and Awards Ceremonies.

State Directors: Before your register - did you report your state results online?

Use this registration after you have received confirmation from us of your role at the tournament. All event supervisors, assistants, volunteers, state directors, invited guests and VIP's must register on our website in advance. Please contact Charlese Hilton-Brown if you have not received confirmation that you will be attending the tournament as a volunteer.

Email Mike if you have not been contacted or received an invitation.

Requests for Supplies and Volunteers

Event Materials and Needs - email Mike (no phone calls) with your request and numbers of items and how many volunteers are needed to run your event. We will do our best to accomodate requests. Please note that room changes and modifications will not be granted.

All material requests will be confirmed to ensure that we have the items in stock or can obtain them. ALL REQUESTS ARE DUE MAY 1.

All requests must be made via email.
